Why do you need a Washington Remodeling Contractor?

It seems that home remodeling has become one of America's favorite pastimes. While the housing market may be experiencing a temporary downturn, Washington remodeling projects continue to hold steady simply because many Washington home owners have decided to stay put in their current homes, opting to upgrade rather than move. Some Washington remodeling projects are becoming a necessity as the average age of homes in America reach just over 30 years old. But home age aside, people are adding on, upgrading and remodeling their homes in greater numbers than ever before. Washington remodeling is a big part of over 25 million U.S. homeowners undertaking some sort of home improvement project annually. Large remodeling projects from complete kitchen remodeling to the addition of several rooms, make up a major part of the home improvement dollar invested by homeowners.

Getting the Most Value for Your Washington Remodeling Dollar

When planning your home remodel, it's important to remember that certain Washington remodeling projects will add more value than some others. Usually kitchen, bath and bedroom upgrades or additions will show the greatest return for money invested should you decide to sell. Of course no matter what home project you undertake, it's important to remember that selecting the right remodeling contractor is important. Once you've chosen a remodeling contractor, you should talk with them about the best work for your house. Financing your Washington remodeling project may also take careful consideration. When it comes time to finance your Washington remodeling project there are several ways to find the money you need. You always want to shop for remodeling loans with the lowest interest rates, make certain your payments are tax deductible and most importantly don't put yourself in the situation of over borrowing and possibly losing your home.

Planning Your Washington Remodeling Budget

Before starting any Washington remodeling project, you need to work out a plan along with a budget to decide if it is financially practical. You’ll have to decide if you need a loan and what type of loan will be best for you. You'll need to talk to your Washington remodeling professional and make certain you can get all the necessary permits. Any remodeling project can be a stressful time but if you take your time, do a little research beforehand and work with your Washington remodeling contractor, you can make any home improvement job a smooth process.

Testimonials
Yes * More Weight is given to a report where work has been completed. Work Completed Date: August 09, 2010 Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $8,000.00 Home Build Year: 1986 Description Of Work: Demolish old deck and build new extended deck Member Comments: Our overall experience with John, Hector and their team was excellent and the quality of the work they performed was superb. John was highly knowledgeable and we were very happy with the advise that he gave us regarding the best type of deck for our house. There were a few minor issues that we were not completely satisfied with initially. However, John responded promptly to these concerns and rectify them to our satisfaction. I intend to use them again.
April 23, 2010 Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $9,000.00 Home Build Year: 2005 Description Of Work: Mr. Owens replaced our custom shower--demolished old (leaking) shower, reframed shower and curb, installed waterproof Kerdie membrane system, tiled over this, and reinstalled plumbing fixtures. He also did general carpentry work around our house, and a little metal work too. Member Comments: The work was very precise and beautiful, and the price was quite reasonable. He completed the work on time with no hidden surprises. I have used Mr. Owens and JV Improvements for years on several investment properties that I own--he has taken very large contracts from me to frame new floors, install plumbing and electrical, build countertops, install kitchens and baths, pour concrete, and do finish carpentry as well. He is professional, courteous, extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the building trade, and above all, honest. He will not bid low on a job just to get the work, then charge for spurious change orders, nor will he cut and run if a job runs into unexpected difficulties--I have seen him stay with a project until completion even if it costs him thousands of dollars in unanticipated expenses to finish it. Finally, many home improvement contractors will charge what the market will bear, rather than the actual cost plus a fixed markup. I have never seen Mr. Owens overcharge on a project. I can't recommend him enough for your home improvement projects!
